AION 2 Cleric vs Chanter comparison for Global launch: choose direct healer responsibility or hybrid support utility without relying on a speculative pre-launch tier list.
Global balance numbers can change; role identity is the safer pre-launch decision axis. Choose Cleric if you want healing to be your primary group responsibility. Choose Chanter if you want a hybrid support identity that contributes directly to combat while improving the party. Both are support-oriented, but they should not be treated as interchangeable before the Global client is tested.
Both classes have reasons to be more solo-capable than a traditional passive support archetype, and NC has emphasized role identity without forcing every support player into a pure passive loop. The safer choice is still based on responsibility preference : direct healing pressure versus hybrid utility.
