AION 2 Global monetization explained: free-to-play model, $15 Membership, Kina/Quna Exchange, Market access, Daeva Pass, cash shop and what can honestly be said about pay-to-win before launch.
The Exchange connects players: NC’s announced model describes players listing Kina and other players using Quna to acquire it, rather than the game itself creating the trade listing.
The official business-model plan says an active Membership is required to trade on both the Market and the Kina↔Quna Exchange . The plan lists Membership at $15/month, and every current Founder’s Pack includes 30 days.
NC separates announced shop goods into cosmetics and consumables. It describes outfits, wings, pets, weapon skins and accessories as aesthetic, and says consumables such as potions/resurrection items do not affect long-term gear progression and can also be earned through regular gameplay. The live catalog still needs launch-day verification.
The announced model has a free Standard Track and a Quna-priced Premium Track per character . NC’s wording allows cosmetics, items, upgrade materials and in-game currencies in pass rewards, so calling the Premium Track “cosmetics only” would overstate the official promise.
The LST disables purchases, Shop, Quna, passes, Membership, Marketplace, Quna Exchange and player-to-player trading. It is therefore useful for combat/performance testing but cannot validate the live monetization economy .
